STANDARD UPGRADES

Upgrades are what can be used to evolve your auri and make them truly unique! All standard upgrades are found under this tab, but, before you get upgrading please read the following information to fully understand how to upgrade your auri!

Here's a brief guide/breakdown on the upgrade cards:

The image is the example, typically a static image, sometimes a GIF. We ask that you please try to follow these examples!

You do not have to copy the image exactly as we allow artistic liberty/interpretation with the upgrades, just make sure it's recognizable and not mimicking other upgrades.

UPGRADE NAME || [★★★]/X

What the upgrade is called and if you can use an item on it! Scroll down for more info.

Tagline || Just some fun flavor text! Usually a reference or something humorous.

Bells || How many bells are required to apply the upgrade.

Age || How old your aurillion needs to be to apply the upgrade. (Days/weeks/months)

Prompt || An art prompt you need to complete in order to apply the upgrade! Typically a simple drawing prompt or writing prompt.
Ex. Draw your aurillion sleeping.
Ex. 2 Write a 100 +word story on how your auri got their accessory.

RULES/NOTES || Any rules/restrictions about the upgrade that must be followed such as what color the upgrade starts as.
Ex. Cannot be combined with [X].
Ex. 2 Only affects markings.

How do I apply an upgrade?

To apply a trait you need to:

Make sure you've met any requirements/prerequisites (Bells, ages, drawing, writing, etc)
Draw the trait on the aurillion you want it for and submit it to general art!
List the upgrade(s) applied in the description

You also need to include proof of your traits in the description as well, especially if it's from an event.

It really helps us when you list things out as it makes moderation run a lot smoother and easier, so we do ask that you include upgrade proof in all submissions!

What about the top 3rd eye? Can that be upgraded separately?

No, it cannot. All the eyes must match unless you have the limited upgrade Heterochromia. This includes colors, eye ad-ons, etc.
For example, you add Pupils to your auri, unless they have Heterochromia ALL eyes must have the pupils. If you then applied Colored Pupils the pupils would all have to be the same color.

Similarly for the limbs, each pair (front legs/arms and back legs) must match unless you have the limited upgrade Chimera Legs.

For example, you can choose to have Hooves on the back legs and Fingers on the front legs. But the right leg cannot have Fingers and the left one have Paws. They MUST match.

A trait from the old website isn't on the new one, what do I do?

The upgrade in question may have either been discontinued, renamed, or repurposed/redesigned! If you can't find the upgrade you're looking for, feel free to ask a staff member in #general-help so we can help you out!

A trait has requirements that don't make sense!

If you aren't sure what the requirement is asking for, you can ask for help in #general-help and a staff member can clarify it for you!

If there's a typo/etc. you can report this in the #error-bin channel and a staff member will fix it ASAP!

What are those stars or Xs for?

Those are indicators that tell you if you can use an upgrade item on it or not. Here's what each means:

★ - An Upgrade Ring may be used to bypass requirements.

★★ - An Upgrade Bracelet may be used to bypass requirements.

★★★ - An Upgrade Pendant may be used to bypass requirements.

X - No upgrade items may be used to bypass requirements.

Most baby upgrades only require a ring to bypass requirements.

Note that some upgrades, i.e. Injuries, may still require certain prompts to be met even with the use of an upgrade item. Please read each upgrade card carefully!

What upgrades can babies get?

Only the ones under the Baby Upgrades headers can be applied to babies, given that all the requirements have been met.

Upgrades under the Adult Upgrades headers cannot be applied to them unless an upgrade item is used.

If the upgrade has the X symbol on it that means NO upgrade items can be used to gain it, it must be earned through completing the requirements.

If the upgrade says ADULT ONLY in the Age section that means it can only be applied to adults! Not babies, no exceptions.
