PRIMARY ABILITIES

Primary abilities are the main magic abilities!

They need to be learned and all take magical energy and good concentration to use properly. For each of the 11 magic elements, there are 4 Magic Levels with 3 abilities for each level, for a grand total of 132 abilities! If you wanna get learning, check the Independent Magic or Magic Classes page for details! Click on the Magic Tab itself or click on the "About Magic" option in the "Magic" drop down to find the abilities!

SECONDARY ABILITIES

Secondary abilities are basically an extra reward for learning a new magic level! They are automatically unlocked once your auri has been officially registered into the magic masterlist and don’t have to be learned separately.

Unlike primary abilities, these don’t take a lot of effort to use and most of them can be active at all times! Think of them as an indicator of your auri’s completion of their training! These are all mostly for show and aren’t exceptionally powerful, but can be used in tangent with primary abilities and are often considered helpful steps in learning the more difficult abilities.

Secondary abilities are separated into two kinds, passive and active. Passive abilities are abilities that are always turned ‘on’ and are typically abilities that change your auri physically, such as Aquatic which makes them better swimmers, or Fortified which naturally increases their strength. Active abilities, on the other hand, are more akin to primary abilities and can be turned ‘on’ and ‘off’ at will. These abilities are typically the more flashy kind, allowing them to leave traces of an element as they walk or grant them extra, special bells and whistles connected to the element.

When it comes to depicting secondary abilities you can either use them on your auri or ignore them entirely.

Yes, all secondary abilities can stack from all the different elements EXCEPT for the level 4 ones.

For these final secondary abilities, an auri may only have one active at a time.

SKILL LEVELS

Skill levels are indicators of your auri’s mastery over individual magic abilities and are the in-group way to make your auri the magical demi-god they’ve always wanted to be!

All abilities have three skill levels; one being the base strength of the ability and three being the maximum it can be.

When an aurii completes any magic level they automatically learn the first skill level of all three abilities. To increase these skill levels further one must do the following:

To reach skill level 2 for any magic ability:

  • Wait 1 month after learning a magic level + draw 2 fullbody images of your auri using the magic ability

    • No shading required but the images must be fullbodies! It's okay if something minor is obscured but we should see a majority of your auri!

To reach skill level 3 for any magic ability:

  • Wait 2 months after achieving skill level 2 + draw 1 full scene of your auri using the magic ability

    • Auri must be a fullbody! It's okay if something minor is obscured but we should see a majority of your auri!

    • Shading should be complex shading! It should be enough to count for Complex Shading bells!

    • The background should be detailed! It should be enough to count for Complex Background bells!

  • However, some upgrades like Silver and Bronze restrict/cap skill levels! Be sure to read upgrade rules carefully!

  • Lastly, note that aurii (babies) are limited to skill level 1 of ALL abilities and may be restricted further on specific abilities. Please see the individual magic abilities for clarity.
