GOLD RULES

Please make sure you're familiar and aware of the rules outlined in both linked pages above!

We ask that you please try to follow the example images!

You do not have to copy the image exactly as we allow artistic liberty/interpretation just make sure it's:

1. Recognizable

2. Not mimicking other upgrades

Unless stated otherwise upgrades start out accent colored, the base color, or any secondary colors.

"Any color on your auri" means base, accent, or secondaries.

The collar color may NOT be used to color upgrades UNLESS stated specifically otherwise.

Limited traits are rare, special traits only available through events or YCHs. There are 3 classes of limited upgrades.

Seasonal upgrades typically come back every year during specific events or months, so don't worry if you miss out on them! They're the most common out of the bunch and are generally easy to get when they're available.

YCH upgrades are rarer and are only available through the odd giveaways, adopts, and more commonly auctions & flatsales.

Finally, there are the Special upgrades that appear once and are likely to never pop up ever again. If missed, the only way you can get them is through a slim breeding chance & extra special adopts/donated designs.

Any upgrades under the "SPECIAL" section or marked with "RETIRED" may not be gained with an Upgrade Idol.

How curious, your auri's eyes are now bells!
The 'throats' are the iris color, the eye is gold and matches the gold color!
The throats start with 2 throats', can be changed with Bell Shape Changer.
Gold is subject to gold changing upgrades.
Not compatible with Eyeless, Screen Face, pupil, iris, or sclera upgrades, and Eye Rings.
Not the same as Gold Accent! Only makes the eyes gold not the accent color.

Fool's Coating

Allows for near unlimited color and marking freedom!
Makes the auri neon/brightly colored and allows for any and all colors (including black) and markings (even non-existing ones) to be used.
Colors MUST be neon/fully saturated aside from white and black which should be pure #FFFFFF and #000000.
Upgrade does NOT affect gold color or accent/eye color!
Black markings should be in small patches and may not cover more than about 40% of the auri.

Blanket Tail

Leg placements must come in pairs.
The tail placement is compatible with any solid tail (ex. Grabby Tail).
Gold may not be placed on top of Nightlight Body placements.

Snowglobe Tip

Waxy Horns

The heart changes with the auri's mood!
With positive emotions the heart is normal, but with negative emotions the heart becomes cracked and duller in color.
'Arrow' should start out white, while the heart tip starts out as accent color, red or pink.
The heart should always be a bright color though!

Should resemble the example image but may be stylized within reason.

Lantern Tail

Pride Gold

You may use any pride flag you wish! (gay, bi, trans, agender, demi ace/aro, achillean, sapphic, etc.)
- Combo flags are allowed (ex. AroAce flag)
- If a flag has ornaments aside from just stripes (symbols, shapes, etc.), you may incorporate those as well, simplify them, or exclude them all together!
- The colors do not have to be exact and may be slightly changed if desired!
- If a flag has pure black/white, please use off blacks/whites instead! [Example]
- Must resemble the flag.
You may NOT use the following flags:
- Nationality flags, “straight pride” flag, joke flags (ex. rabies sexual)
Affects all gold placements!
Can't be combined with any other gold type other than dual gold.

Collar Arms

Extra Limbs

Dual Gold

Hissy Hair

Snakes are not sentient and are controlled by the auri.
Eyes must be accent color.
Mouths & tongues must start out accent color.
Body color should be the color it grew from and should all start the same.
May have 3 or 2 eyes to start with but all snakes should start with the same amount of eyes.
- May have more with Mirrored Eyes and/or Multi-eyes!
- Snake eyes should match your auri (ex. Pupils if your auri has Pupils)!
The following upgrades can be added to the snake: Warning Hood, Heat Pits, Baby & Adult Brows, Notched Moth, all tongue and teeth upgrades, all horns, Nose Changer and Complex Muzzle (can only change to different kinds of snake heads, real or AU-specific)
Color and body (ex. texture) upgrades may be applied normally.

Slither Tail

Multi-tails

Maximum of 9 tails.
Can be asymmetrical.
Can be combined will all other tail upgrades (Except twin/tri/quad tails)
Tails can like "merge" together and "unmerge".
- You can depict your auri with 1-9 tails at any time
- The "active" tails have a thin golden ring around them and the number of rings total depends on how many tails are "inactive"
- If you have 5 active tails, there should be 4 golden rings total
- 9 active tails = no golden rings

Liquid Gold Paws

Oh dear, it's getting EVERYWHERE!

Auto-grants gold paw placements if the auri does not already have them!
Individual paw placements may be Gold Shifted off later if desired.
Can be applied to the front, back legs or both and should cover the entire paws not just 1 toe/peet.

Unlike Drippy Bell this is wholly cosmetic!

Liquid Gold Tail

Glitches

Floaty Crown

Whatever floats your boat~

A free-floating crown above your Auri’s head!
It can be any colors and style as long as it generally resembles a crown or tiara
Must be 1 solid object! Parts cannot be broken off or have other floating bits.
Floaty Crown does not count as an accessory! Your auri is free to have both upgrades at once.
The crown CAN be made of several different materials, such as:
- Gold, metal, fabric, cardboard
  - If gold it doesn't have to match your auri's gold color!
  - But, it does not affect their gold!
- Corrupt/Celestial energy ONLY IF your auri has Corrupt/Celestial Accent respectfully
The crown CANNOT be made of:
- Elemental materials (fire, water, etc.)
- Food or other edible objects
- Anything otherwise inappropriate for the group
This crown cannot be stolen, as it always returns to its owner’s head. It can technically be used as a weapon, but the efficiency can vary…

Lava Lamp Tail

Looks like candy, tastes like mercury.

Makes the tail lava-lamp-esque with free-floating globs of... something!
Emits a soft, gentle glow
Can be applied to any tail with volume
EX. Lurker tail, bushy tail, the default tail, etc
May not be applied on tails such as "Stick tail"
The main tail color starts as accent color.
The globs start as a darkened version of your Aurillion's accent
If punctured, the tail leaks semi-transparent unidentified fluid.
Overrides all gold placements on the tail
Must cover the entire tail
This is a tail modifier! Not a tail type! As long as the tail type CAN support tail tips you can apply tail tips!

UPGRADE NAME

Chimera Legs

Allows for asymmetrical legs with 4 different limb types: paws, claws, talons, and hooves!
Stitching is optional but the legs MUST be lined off from the body in some way!
Can be applied to any and all limbs your auri has from 1-4 (or 1-6 with Extra Limbs).
Starts off as any color already on your auri and can include up to 2 markings upgrades (baring magic markings).
Starter markings can't be placed anywhere else on the auri and must be unlocked through normal means to use fully.
Legs can be modified with other upgrades such as Thumbs, Fur, Peets, etc. as applicable.
More markings may be applied to Chimera Legs with the appropriate marking upgrades and they can have gold applied with Gold Shifter.

Lullabeye Eyes

What...trustworthy eyes...

Swirl must start off as white, or a lighter shade of the accent color but may be changed with Colored Pupils.
This overrides all other eye upgrades except for:
- Heterochromia, Glowy & Misty Eyes, Sclera upgrades, and Gold Accent.

Chocolate Dipped Legs

Must be any two natural chocolate colors. Colors can change but only to other chocolate colors.
Can be placed on the front, back legs, or both and should cover about half of the legs.
Can apply limb upgrades normally, they become chocolatey!
- Or digits and digit-adjacent upgrades (Claws, Hooves, etc.) can remain 'normal' or be gold!

Gold Accent

Turns your auri's accent into gold!
This is an accent modifier not a gold type!
This changes the mouth, eyes, flesh, blood, etc into your auri's CURRENT gold type.
- ex. if they have Rose Gold their accent becomes Rose Gold colored!
- Thier accent can change by applying different gold type upgrades! White Gold, Candy Gold, Silver, Bronze, etc.
- Gold Accent can allow some upgrades to be Gold Shifted that normally can't!

Gold Accent is compatible with all eye upgrades except for Multi-colored Eyes.
For that effect, you would need Dual Gold or Gradient Gold.

Heterochromia

(ex. pupils on one eye, slit on another, and none on the third eye)!
- Includes other eye effects and add-ons such as Misty Eyes, Glowy Eyes, etc.
- Can be applied to other eye upgrades!
Eyes can also be different colored with max accent color amount being determined by the number of eyes the auri has.
- Base 3 = up to 3 unique accent colors
- Mirrored Eyes = up to 5 unique accent colors.
- Multi-eyes = go crazy, man
Each accent color can be used to color other upgrades and accent colored upgrades can use one, some or all accent colors either solid or with a gradient between.
- Can't be used to create markings on upgrades.
- Requires Accent Editor to change the accent colors.
