Joining the Group

Interested in joining the group? Great! Here's a quick guide on getting started and what else the group has to offer!

1 - Join the discord server

The Discord server is a very important and mandatory part of the group. Aurillion is hosted on Discord and all our mechanics such as artwork submissions and approvals are held and processed here. Discord accounts are free and easy to make, so don't worry about that!

Even if you haven't made your first Auri yet, we recommend joining the server since you can ask questions and get help at the same time!

2 - Getting registered in the group

Now that you're on Discord the next step is to officially join the server! In the #rules channel of the discord, at the very top, there's a member registration form. Copy that and then head over to the #member-registration channel of the discord to fill it out!

About group usernames

The "group username" is the "username" you will be using for the group! This is essential for future approvals, shop purchases, the member tracker, and more. Because we are a group hosted on Discord and discord handles change frequently, we ask our new members to give us a username they'd like us to use for the member tracker.

This is ONLY for members joining the group after (insert date of new website launch here).

(Previous members must still use their dA usernames).

For all members: Please let us known in #member-notices if you change/want to change your username.

3 - Making your first Auri

To be a full member of the group, you'll need to make your first Auri and have them approved!

Every new member starts off with 4 MYO slots, 2 transfer slots, and 1 breeding slot.

Note that your first auri MUST be a MYO.

Aurii have fairly basic anatomy, akin to a cat. It's pretty much a cat with weird ears that's permanently bound to a collar and partially made out of gold. Golden sparkle cats if you will.

If you're ever unsure on anatomy, colors, etc. you can always check in on the #anatomy-help channel for feedback!

4 - Getting your Auri approved

Now that you've drawn your first Auri, they should be ready for approval!

Head on over to #baby-approvals and fill out the approval form found in the Auri Anatomy guide or in the pinned messages of the channel and wait for a staff member to get back to you!

Be sure to mention if you're a new member in your submission!

If your Auri requires some edits, a staff member will let you know in #staff-feedback. Once you've made those edits you can resubmit your Auri in the #baby-approvals channel! Or you can double-check again in the #anatomy-help channel before official re-submission.

5 - Counting bells & jades

Counting bells is very important in the group! It's a sort of tally system and you earn them by drawing your aurii, gift art of others' aurii, pets, creatures, basically anything Aurillion-releated!

It's essential to count them if you want to unlock and apply upgrades to your auri!

Jades are the 'premium currency' of the group and are primarily used to purchase shop items! Jades can be earned through events and by hitting certain bell milestones!

6 - Upgrading your auri

Upgrading your Aurillion with traits is the core mechanic of the group! It's how you build up your Aurillion's design, and for that, you'll need to count your bells and make sure you meet any extra requirements.

Requirements are listed underneath the upgrade example in the traits section! There are a LOT of traits to choose from; some are fairly easy to get, some require a bit more effort, some only come by once and rarely show up again if at all! So nab 'em while you can!

Be sure to check the Upgrades and Special Upgrades pages and all the sub-tabs to see all the available upgrades!

7 - Items, Pets & Magic

There are a wide variety of items in the group, from items that let you bypass upgrade requirements to items that can grant you extra slots and many more! A good chunk of these can be purchased from the group shop with Jades. Some of these can only be achieved through events or other means, so be sure to keep an eye out!

Pets are delightful companions for your Aurillion and some even have magical attributes that can help them out with magic! There are a lot of different pet species to discover and some are easier to get than others. Pets can be acquired in several different ways including raffles, adopts, trading, and breeding!
