Transferring an OC to Aurillion

Got an OC or another ARPG character you'd like to have in Aurillion for whatever reason? Well, then you're in luck because our transfer system has got you covered! With our transfer system, you can transfer over an OC/ARPG character of yours to Aurillion, just read the rules & restrictions and follow the steps below!

Note that this guide assumes you're already familiar with aurillion anatomy.

While everyone starts with two (2) free transfer slots, you must have at least one (1) approved MYO Auri before you can make a transfer.

A transfer cannot be your first auri!

What can I transfer and what can I not?

TRANSFER-ABLE

  • Any OC you have current ownership of. This includes (but is not limited to):​​

    • Original OCs / Non-group OCs​

    • Fan-created OCs*

    • Open Species OCs

    • Closed Species OCs

    • Semi-open/Closed Species OCs

    • Evolving Species OCs

  • If you are transferring an OC from a group and the group has a masterlist, you must provide the masterlist entry of the OC you are transferring.

NON-TRANSFER-ABLE

  • Any OC you DO NOT have complete ownership of (ex. copy-righted characters & co-owned OCs).
    This goes for all types of OCs. Don't go trying to transfer Twilight Sparkle from MLP into Aurillion as if you own her character.

    • Do not attempt to transfer OCs that you do not own into the group. Your transfer will immediately be denied.

  • A fan-created OC that resembles too close to the original/"blank slate"

    • See below

About Fan OCs

Transferring a fandom OC is allowed, however, the new Auri form must look distinguished enough from that canon character’s “blank slate”.  A blank slate is what the fandom character looks like in canon (i.e. Pikachu)--if a transfer resembles the blank slate nearly identically with 1-2 minor adjustments (i.e. adding on emo hair to an otherwise plain Pikachu), they will not pass.

Markings, colors, accessories, features, etc. can all be adjusted in order for a fandom OC to pass for transfer, as long as the adjustments are still legal within transfer rules.

When distinguishing the original from an OC, make sure that your OC is visibly/distinctly different from the original! While the Pikachu in the middle is cute, she sadly won't be able to pass for an OC transfer. The minor color changes and hair tuft aren't enough to distinguish her from the original Pikachu design. Try changing up her colors and markings a little bit and giving her some accessories to truly make her yours! The version of the same Pikachu is on the right; now she's eligible to be transferred into Aurillion!

Rules & Restrictions

There is only one type of transfer in the group now, and everyone starts out with two (2) free transfer slots! 
Below are the rules & restrictions for the transfers. These are all important things to keep in mind when transferring, so read carefully!

General:​

  • There is no upgrade maximum! Apply as many as you need*
    [ !!Please note if you wish to reapply any upgrades that were applied to a transferred character on their transfer process, that you MUST meet all the requirements to reapply them!! ]
     

  • ALL the upgrades in the following sections cannot be used:​​​

    • Re-application

    • Synthetic

    • Subspecies

    • Mutations & Diseases

    • Breeding

    • Limited

  • Level 4 magic upgrades cannot be used

  • ALL Celestial & Corrupt magic upgrades cannot be used at all

Allowed:

  • Editing the OC's design slightly on the approval.
    Ex.

    • Color hue and/or saturation change

    • Change in patterns/placements

    • Anatomy adjustments

  • These must be small changes only! The OC must still be recognizable!
    Any major changes should be made through the use of upgrades after they're approved!

  • Using any character transferred outside of Aurillion. 
    The character’s original form can be freely drawn, even if they have been transferred into Aurillion. 
    However, group submissions must still be auri-related, and any other form an OC may have other than their auri one may not count for bells or be submitted into the group gallery.

  • Using an old version or alt version of your oc; however, we ask that you stick to 1 version, please!! For fairness and the sake of moderation.

    • This means that the oldest image + all 7 transfer images MUST be of the same version! They must all be relatively consistent with each other! Of course, we take into account things like evolving species, but for the most part, they should be consistent!​

Disallowed:

  • Using the "original" version of the OC in the group. All submissions to the group must be of the auri version, the "original" version cannot be used within the group​.

  • Changes to the "original" version of the OC may not affect the "transferred" version of the OC within Aurillion mechanically.

    • This means that your OC can have memories or dreams of their "original" self if you want! They just cannot appear within the actual world etc. or interfere with mechanics.​

  • Redesigning/adding to the transferred OC during the approval process. Do not give the OC you are transferring features they do not have or just added on right before transferring just because you wanted that upgrade. You will be asked to remove them. 

  • Basing your transfer on multiple versions of the oc.

  • Please do not abuse the transfer system to get rare upgrades.

  • You cannot use upgrades marked as "ADULT ONLY" on baby transfers!

  • You cannot make a subspecies with transfers!

Transfer Requirements

There are a couple of prerequisites to transfers:

  • Firstly, the OC you are transferring must be at least 1 month old. Meaning from the oldest image you can find, 1 month must have passed from then.
    For ease of moderation, this means you HAVE to supply some sort of time proof for their oldest submission. Either post date, file date, etc.
    You can not simply tell us that an image is a month old and have that work.

  • Secondly, along with their oldest image, you must have at least 7 other most recent drawings of this OC!

    • At least 4 of 7 drawings must be fullbodies

    • ​These 7 drawings MUST be art from you​

    • Drawings should be relatively neat and colored

  • Ownership proof of the OC if it's from another species group and this group has a masterlist (ex. closed species).

MAGIC TRANSFERS

So your OC has magic you want to transfer, huh? Well, luckily for you, you can transfer them to Aurillion with the closest magic type we have*! There are a couple of conditions though.

If the magic was earned through a Magic Trial/Class/Learning system:

If you had to go through a process such as a trial to have your OC learn magic, all you need is:

  1. The proof of completion

  2. The original magic type

  3. The new magic type you want in Aurillion

 

Once the requirements listed above are met, your transfer will be added to the magic masterlist!

If your OC "comes" with magic/has not gone through  a magic trial/class/learning system:

Unfortunately, to prevent abuse of the system to get easy magic, OCs that were not a part of a group with a magic system, such as Kitterkeep or Whistler Crest, cannot be transferred with magic.

Even if the OC is from a group where the species inherently knows magic, magic transfers only apply to OCs that have had to go through some sort of trial, class, etc. first!

*You CANNOT gain any Sacred Magics, Celestial or Corrupt through magic transfers!!

EXAMPLE

As one last thing, let's take a look at this example.

They have some things to fix, let's look at the corrections!

Issues/Things to fix:

  • Transferring a character that you don't own

  • Adding upgrades the original design does not have

  • Adding adult-only upgrades

  • Original & transferred design are too different

All Done?

Now you can submit them to either the #baby-approvals channel if your transfer is a baby or the

#adult-approvals channel if your transfer is an adult, then wait for a staff member to get back to you!
