LEVEL 1

ENHANCE SPEED:

Gotta go fast! If you center Lightning magic from the bell to your limbs, you can charge your body, temporarily increasing your running speed! You’ll be able to run as long as you could without magic as your stamina remains unaffected by the magic.


Uses of this ability include:

  • Hunting

  • Fast travel

SKILL LEVEL 1: Charged

Can reach a max speed of about 40 mph/64 km (babies can only reach up to about 28 mph/45 km).


SKILL LEVEL 2: Electrified

Can now reach a max speed of about 50 mph/80 km.


SKILL LEVEL 3: Galvanized

Can now reach a max speed of about 75 mph/120 km.

STATIC CHARGE:

Remember how you can get shocked in the winter through friction and a shaggy carpet? Well, now you’re the carpet! When using this ability, your bell will become imbued with electrical energy that will then surge through your body making it statically charged. Much like normal static being near it will make others’ fur/hair stand on end, along with tiny shocks upon contact. Electronics can start to glitch out as well. Holding batteries while charged is not recommended!


Uses of this ability include:

  • Covering oneself with balloons and becoming “balloonzilla”

  • Pulling pranks on friends (no need for the buzzer ring - be the ring)

  • Self-defense

  • Seriously, don’t touch those batteries

SKILL LEVEL 1: Static Body

Only the fur/body can be statically charged.


SKILL LEVEL 2: Charged Air

Now the static charge can reach the air around the auri. Additionally, the static can be more powerful.


SKILL LEVEL 3: Discharge

The static charge can now reach about 20 ft from the auri. Additionally, the static can become strong enough to be used as an attack.

READ ELECTRICAL PROPERTIES:

Considered a boring, but very practical ability to learn. By concentrating Lightning magic into a specific area you can instantly read the various electrical properties of a given area. This includes voltage, charge, strength, and intensity. This even works if you have the vaguest sense of these properties, but it’s more useful if you have at least a basic understanding of them.


Uses of this ability include:

  • A quick way to measure electrical power

SKILL LEVEL 1: Field Sweep

Can only sense the area near the auri, about a 20 ft range (about 10 ft for babies).


SKILL LEVEL 2: Wide Probe

Expanded range of about 30 ft.


SKILL LEVEL 3: Advanced Electroreception

Expanded range of about 50 ft.
