Air

LEVEL 1

ALTER VOLUME:

Loved by the vocally inclined, hated by the audio-sensitive. To use this ability, focus Air magic through your vocal cords as you speak (you can also use this on others if you focus your magic on them)! This’ll allow you to drop your voice as low and quiet as you want (you can even mute yourself or others this way), or raise it as high and loud as if you were speaking through a megaphone. With further training, this ability can go from annoying to dangerous! Be careful with how you use it!

Uses of this ability include:

  • Amplify voice (singers and teachers use this a lot)

  • Mute annoying loudmouths

  • Alarm

  • As an attack

  • As a prank!

SKILL LEVEL 1: Megaphone Voice

Can lower volume as low as you want, including muting volume. Max volume of 100 dB (Megaphone loud).

SKILL LEVEL 2: Speaker Sound

Max volume of 110 dB (Sonic boom loud).

SKILL LEVEL 3: Sonic Scream

Max volume of 120 dB (Thunderclap loud).

CREATE AIR GUSTS:

Harness the power of air! By focusing Air magic near your mouth or paw, you can release or blow a magically enhanced gust. The direction is controlled by the direction you're facing, or by the movement of your paw. The speed may be as low as you wish, and as fast as your skill level dictates!

Uses of this ability include:

  • Sailing

  • Clearing debris

  • Defense

  • Drying off

  • Special effects (like in a play!)

SKILL LEVEL 1: Gentle Gusts

Max speed of 12 mph (6 mph for babies).

Adults can move twigs and extend small flags, babies can cause leaves to rustle.

SKILL LEVEL 2: Forceful Breeze

Max speed of 30 mph. (Can move large branches, louder, makes umbrellas hard to move)

SKILL LEVEL 3: Gusty Gale

Max speed of 60 mph. (Enough force to uproot a tree)

BOOSTED JUMP:

Boing! Through the use of Air magic, you can manipulate the air around you to carry your body higher as you jump! Basically, it increases your jump height! Note that you’ll suffer no recoil from the boosted jump (though it is recommended that beginners practice on soft surfaces. Just in case. Also this only applies to physical recoil, it’ll still hurt if you, say, landed on a pile of nails).

Uses of this ability include:

  • As a quick escape

  • To get a better view

  • To get around faster

  • Making the world your trampoline (you know you want to)

Extended max height of 12ft.

SKILL LEVEL 3: Scaler

SECONDARY ABILITY

Lightweight - PASSIVE

Your work with Air magic has lifted your spirit! You’re now about 25% lighter! This makes your jumps floatier and can make for more soft and graceful landings!
